always looking for inspiration

Poster Infantil Inscripciones Taller 5 ritmos.png
  • In this workshop we will get to know the five rhythms and each child will discover which rhythm they feel most comfortable with.

  • The workshop is an adaptation for children of the program created by Gabrielle Roth that I have designed in which, in addition to dancing, I include a part called "painting the music"

  • the continued practice of the 5 Rhythms offers great emotional, mental, physical, psychological and spiritual benefits.

  • The succession of the 5 Rhythms is a cyclical-vital process of energy that is called WAVE: Fluid: rooting-receptivity; Staccato: energizing-action; Chaos: release-discharge; Lyrical: release-expansion; Stillness: emptying-integration.

Benefits of working with the five rhythms

body

Develops body awareness and encourages rooting. Increases agility, fluidity and balance. Improves body structure and circulation. Releases tension and softens the muscle armor. revitalizes

emotional

It favors expressiveness and emotional fluidity. The production of neurotransmitters and hormones that decrease stress and anxiety levels and stimulate pleasant states is increased. Somatic emotional memory is released.

mental

This practice favors attention and creativity. Free from unhealthy psychological habits. Generates new neural circuits. The faster rhythms activate the two cerebral hemispheres and the slower ones the parasympathetic system related to relaxation.

Social

It favors group cohesion and authentic and spontaneous bonding. Strengthens the feeling of belonging and community ties. Increases group awareness. It allows us to explore our way of relating in a playful way and shows us possibilities to improve our bonds.

Flowing Rhythm

  • Flowing: fluidity and grace.

  • It is a rhythm that connects with the feminine. Flow is the path to our inner truth, the drive to follow the flow of one's energy, to be true to ourselves, to listen and attend to our needs, and to be receptive to our inner and outer worlds.

  • It is a continuous, circular, heavy movement, in contact with the earth, the movement of one thing transforming into another, the stage of childhood, the mother and the Earth element.

Staccato rhythm

  • Staccato: Definition and Refinement.

  • Staccato rhythm connects with our heart. It makes possible the expression of our feelings. It helps to be clear, concise and to make decisions. Create our limits by helping us know how to say yes or no. It is the rhythm of interpersonal relationships. It is a rhythm that connects with the masculine.

  • We begin to say "yes" to this and "no" to that, opening ourselves to something or pushing it away. It is the part of us that defends what matters to us, that we like. Staccato is the fierce master of limits.

Rhythm Chaos

  • Chaos: Announcement of creativity that seeks form.

  • It is the rhythm where the feminine and the masculine come together.

  • The simple practice of Chaos brings us immediately into our bodies, into the moment. This rhythm frees us from all ideas about who we are and gives us a real experience of being total, free, intuitive and creative. Chaos is the practice of going into the unknown, not fearing what is on the other side.

  • It consists of letting go, allowing, inviting, encouraging, letting go; simply by concentrating and letting what we call the ordinary mind take a backseat to the movement.

lyrical rhythm

  • Lyrical: Synthesis and Integration

  • The Lyrical rhythm connects our body with our mind and our heart.

  • The soul expresses itself freely. The element of air. The lyric invites us to play, to lightness, to sensations of connection with the collective, to the dissolution of personal limits, it connects us with the feeling of belonging to the whole, it is aerial, light.

  • You want to jump, fly, laugh, feel new air, cry with joy... It's a return to the beginning through a fluid rhythm, which doesn't let you stop feeling good things. You look for those you love most in your thoughts and you try to connect to them because your being is beyond your body and seeks to travel towards them. It is love, it is passion, it is lucidity, it is memory, it is lightness, it is beauty...

Rhythm Stillness

  • Stilness: Compassion and Peace

  • The Stillness rhythm connects our breath with every action. Create the space to be able to recognize our essence in the other. The limits are broken and we are all the same. At this level we become aware of what we really need and consequently what others need. It enters the art of giving and receiving. To be who we are without judgment blocking our dreams. It is the rhythm that opens the fan to all possibilities.

  • Rest and pleasure invade you through musical calm.

  • It is the rhythm that probably most closely resembles a standing or moving meditation.
